Preparation

  • In a large pot, place your ground beef over medium heat. Brown the meat and drain excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic; sauté until vegetables are tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, beef broth, elbow macaroni, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the macaroni is cooked.
  • If desired, sprinkle cheese on top before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, this dish can be stored for up to three days in an airtight container in the fridge and reheated with a splash of beef broth. For freezing, cool completely before storing for up to three months.
