  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup milk Helps create a creamy texture.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust according to your palate.
  • 1 cup cooked rice Adds substance to the casserole.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping) For a crunchy topping.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken and steamed broccoli.
  • Add cream of chicken soup and milk, and stir until well combined.
  • Mix in shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Gently fold in the cooked rice.

Baking

  • Grease a 9x13 casserole dish and pour the mixture in.
  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if using.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.

Serving

  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, allow the casserole to cool slightly to set it properly. You can customize by using different proteins or adding more vegetables.
