For the Bread

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour The backbone of the bread providing structure.

For the Cinnamon Mixture

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon for the cinnamon mixture.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the diced apples gently.

Building the Bread

  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle with some of the cinnamon mixture.
  • Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar.
  • Using a butter knife, gently swirl the batter to create a marbled effect.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Pair this bread with coffee or tea. It stores well for 2-3 days at room temperature or can be frozen for longer storage.
