For the Cheesecake Balls

  • 1 package Oreo cookies Double-stuffed Oreos are recommended for extra creaminess.
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Let sit out before mixing for easier blending.
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped Use juicy, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances flavor of the cheesecake filling.
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate, melted Used for coating the balls.
  • Sprinkles or crushed Oreos for coating Add playful touches for decoration.

Preparation

  • Crush the Oreos in a food processor or ziplock bag until they resemble fine crumbs.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, chopped strawberries, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Add the crushed Oreos to the cream cheese mixture and combine until well mixed.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Freeze the tray for about 30 minutes to firm up the balls.
  • Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler.
  • Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and let excess drip off before placing them back on the baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle with your choice of sprinkles or crushed Oreos before the chocolate hardens.
  • Chill again in the fridge for another 30 minutes to set.

Notes

These cheesecake balls can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator. They are best served chilled and pair well with coffee or tea. Keep in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
