Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • to taste salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • for serving crusty bread

Instructions
 

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking gently until garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Avoid browning the garlic.
  • Increase heat to medium-high and add shrimp in a single layer.
  • Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  • Stir in smoked paprika (if using), lemon juice, and chopped parsley.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful garlic oil.
