Preparation

  • Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  • Slice the bell pepper and onion.
  • Mince the garlic and have it ready.

Marination

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sugar.
  • Add the steak strips, coating them evenly. Let sit for about 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  • Once hot, add the marinated steak strips and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes until browned.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure the steak gets a nice sear.
  • Add bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for about 5–7 minutes until tender.

Serving

  • Toss everything together, season with salt and pepper, and serve over rice or noodles.

Notes
