In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Stir in flour, salt, and vegetable oil. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
Press dough into the pan, stretching to the edges. Let rest for 10 minutes.
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough. Add meat (if using), then sprinkle with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.
Bake for 15–18 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
Cool slightly before slicing into squares and serving.
