Preparation

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Step 2: Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface until smooth but not too thin.
  • Step 3: Cut the rolled-out pastry into squares about 3x3 inches.
  • Step 4: Place a cube of brie in the center of each pastry square.
  • Step 5: Brush the edges of the pastry squares with the beaten egg.
  • Step 6: Fold each pastry over the brie and press the edges to seal.
  • Step 7: Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  • Step 8: Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Step 9: Serve warm alongside fig honey or jam.

Notes

Best when served warm. Keep puff pastry cold until ready to use for the best texture.
