For the filling

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Classic choice for these bars.
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk (1 can) The magic that pulls everything together.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, and eggs until well mixed into a thick batter.
  • Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the greased baking pan.

Cream Cheese Filling

  • In another bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Assembly

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust in the pan.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over the cream cheese layer.
  • Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the entire mixture.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and set.
  • Let it cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate chips for better flavor. Don’t forget to soften the cream cheese to avoid lumps!
