  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella recommended.
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries Do not use frozen blueberries.
  • 1 tablespoon butter Essential for a golden, crispy exterior.
  • to taste teaspoon salt Enhances the flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place one slice in the skillet, buttered side down.

Assembly

  • Layer in the shredded cheese on top of the bread in the skillet.
  • Evenly scatter the blueberries over the cheese.
  • Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up, and press lightly.

Cooking

  • Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown underneath.
  • Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side until the cheese is melted and the bread is crisp.

Serving

  • Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm with a sprinkle of salt on top.

Notes

For the best results, use a heavy skillet like cast iron for even heating. Seasonal blueberries enhance flavor, and you can substitute with strawberries or raspberries if out of season.
