Easy Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs thinly sliced ribeye steak or deli roast beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 0.5 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 large red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 12 pieces soft slider rolls (Hawaiian or brioche)
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (halal-certified)
  • optional fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and tender, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté onions and bell peppers until softened and lightly caramelized, about 7-8 minutes.
  • Slice slider rolls horizontally, keeping them connected. Place bottom halves in a baking dish.
  • Spread mayonnaise on the cut sides of the buns. Layer half the provolone cheese on the bottoms, then top with cooked steak and sautéed vegetables, followed by the remaining cheese slices. Cover with the top halves of the rolls.
  • Combine melted butter, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Brush mixture over the tops of the slider buns.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until tops are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Let cool slightly, sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired, slice into individual sliders, and serve warm.
