Easy Crock Pot Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the mixture and let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • Stir in the salt and olive oil, then gradually add flour until a sticky dough forms. Mix until fully combined.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on parchment paper.
  • Place the parchment paper and dough into a 4-6 quart Crock Pot. Cover with the lid.
  • Cook on High for 2-2.5 hours, or until the bread has cooked through and the bottom is golden brown.
  • For a golden, crispy crust, transfer the bread to a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
  • Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before slicing.
