Ingredients
  

Creamy Base

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened The base of our log; keep it softened for best results.
  • cup sour cream Adds a tang to balance the richness of cream cheese.

Spices & Seasoning

  • ½ teaspoon thyme Herb for aromatic kick.
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon basil
  • ½ teaspoon rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper Adds heat.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Brings depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt Enhances other flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Add for extra zing!

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, freshly grated Sharp and creamy.
  • 9 ounces roasted peppers, drained Adds warmth and color.
  • 6 ounces salami, finely chopped For a meaty addition.
  • ¾ cup green olives, chopped Provides briny flavor.
  • cup green onion, minced Adds freshness.
  • 7 ounces sun-dried tomatoes in oil, chopped Sweet and tangy.
  • ¼ cup parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • to taste rosemary sprigs Garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Spray a 9x5 loaf pan with oil and line it with plastic wrap, leaving overhang.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream using an electric mixer until smooth.
  • Add thyme, oregano, basil, rosemary, black pepper, garlic powder, kosher salt, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  • Fold in grated cheddar cheese and then add chopped roasted peppers, ensuring even distribution.
  • Stir in finely chopped salami, green olives, green onion, and sun-dried tomatoes until well combined.
  • Transfer mixture to the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down to eliminate air pockets.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.

Serving

  • When ready to serve, invert the pan onto a platter and remove the plastic wrap.
  • Garnish with sun-dried tomatoes, fresh parsley, and rosemary sprigs.
  • Let sit at room temperature briefly before serving with crackers or veggies.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother texture. Fresh ingredients result in the best flavor. Allow enough chilling time to meld flavors.
