  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Adds richness and depth.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese Gruyère or mozzarella for a deliciously cheesy top.
  • 2 tablespoons butter For sautéing the garlic and spinach.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced Aromatic and savory.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Essential for bringing out all the flavors.
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or chives) for garnish Adds a touch of freshness.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add fresh spinach, season with salt and pepper, and stir until wilted (2-3 minutes).
  • Transfer wilted spinach to a small baking dish, spreading it evenly. Pour heavy cream over the spinach.
  • Carefully crack eggs on top of the spinach and cream mixture.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and add additional salt and pepper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until eggs are set.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature eggs. Consider substituting feta for a Mediterranean twist. Avoid overcooking the eggs for the right balance of creamy and set.
