Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease and flour your cake tin.
  • In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with cinnamon and sugar. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix in the flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
  • Fold in the apple mixture carefully to maintain the batter's fluffiness.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared tin and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  • Let it cool for a bit before slicing.
